How to watch Netflix on Raspberry Pi

Watching Netflix on a Raspberry Pi is probably the most requested feature from us. Previously, you couldn't watch Netflix on Raspberry Pi at all, because it didn't have compatible software for it. Fortunately the situation has now changed!

Kusti8 on Raspberrypi.org forums has released a Chromium version that has support for Widevine. Widevine is a DRM solution in Chromium, that allos you to stream video content. Netflix and multiple other video providers use and require it to watch their content. Kusti8 has compiled a version of Chromium browser that includes support for Widevine and works in all Raspberry Pi devices.

The source code can be found at Kusti8's Github page. But if you just want to install the browser, run these commands in your Raspberry Pi:

wget https://github.com/kusti8/chromium-build/releases/download/netflix-1.0.0/chromium-browser_56.0.2924.84-0ubuntu0.14.04.1.1011.deb
sudo dpkg -i chromium-browser_56.0.2924.84-0ubuntu0.14.04.1.1011.deb

After this, just open Chromium browser and enjoy all of Netflix content!
