Make WiFi Access Point from your Raspberry Pi

Harry Allerston has published a project on GitHub that allows you to easily make a WiFi Access Point out of your Raspberry Pi. It shares the Ethernet connection via WiFi.

This project is really useful in situations where you want to share the Ethernet connection with multiple users, for example in a hotel room or dormitory.

Installing is easy, here are the simplified instructions:

  • In terminal type: "git clone https://github.com/harryallerston/RPI-Wireless-Hotspot.git"

  • Go to the folder and type "sudo ./install"

  • Confirm that you want to make the changes

  • Choose the DNS (default is Google)

  • If you need Chromecast support, choose "unblock-us"

  • That's all, after a reboot it should start automatically
